Step 1: Prepare the Corn
- If using fresh corn, remove the kernels from the cobs and place them in a large bowl.
Step 2: Season the Corn
- Add the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the corn and toss until evenly coated.
Step 3: Heat the Skillet
- Place a large skillet or cast-iron pan over high heat and allow it to become very hot.
Step 4: Add the Corn
- Transfer the seasoned corn to the hot skillet and spread it into an even layer.
Step 5: Roast the Corn
- Cook the corn without stirring for 2 to 3 minutes so it develops charred spots.
Step 6: Stir the Corn
- Stir the corn and continue cooking until more kernels become lightly blackened.
Step 7: Continue Cooking
- Cook for another 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until the corn is tender.
Step 8: Remove from Heat
- Take the skillet off the heat once the corn reaches your desired level of char.
Step 9: Add Lime Juice
- Drizzle the lime juice over the warm corn and toss to combine.
Step 10: Add Fresh Herbs
- Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the corn and mix gently.
Step 11: Taste and Adjust
- Taste the corn and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Step 12: Let It Rest
- Allow the corn to rest for 2 minutes so the flavors can settle.
Step 13: Transfer to a Serving Bowl
- Spoon the corn into a serving bowl.
Step 14: Serve
- Serve warm as a side dish, salad topping, or bowl ingredient.
Notes
This Cava Fire Roasted Corn Recipe pairs beautifully with grain bowls, grilled chicken, steak, salmon, tacos, wraps, and salads.
I personally enjoy adding the Cava Fire Roasted Corn to homemade rice bowls because it brings both sweetness and smoky flavor.
It’s also delicious served alongside grilled vegetables.
